Devon Energy (NYSE: DVN) Building Regional Office In Cresson Crossroads

 

The Hood County News is reporting that Devon Energy (NYSE: DVN) will build a 57,000 square foot administrative building on a 13-acre site in Cresson Crossroads, near the intersection of Highway 377 and Highway 171.

The paper reports that construction is expected to begin next month according to a Devon Energy spokesman.

The new building will house 240 employees and serve as regional office for Devon Energy’s Barnett Shale operations south of Fort Worth.

The Cresson Crossroads development is attracting other natural gas and drilling related businesses because it is conveniently located in Cresson, Texas.   Cresson is located 20 minutes southwest of Fort Worth, 15 minutes from Cleburne, 15 minutes from Weatherford, and only 10 minutes from Granbury.

Most of the infrastructure is complete in Phase 1 which is the industrial park.

Phase 2 of Cresson Crossroads will have retail, restaurants, apartments, and more.  There are six lakes in Phase 2 ranging is size from 1 to 2.5 acres.  These lakes flow from one to the next creating a unique setting for multi-family and retail use.

Later this year work could also begin on “Cattleman’s Square”, a downtown area with a mix of restaurants, retail, and possibly living areas.

Phase 3 of Cresson Crossroads includes 500-600 single-family residences.
